Buğaz Publishing is an independent publishing platform based in Berlin. It publishes Buğaz: a journal of ominous feelings, the contemporary subject and art — where psychoanalytic inquiry meets artistic practice, and political unease meets the desire to speak.
Founded in 2026, Buğaz Publishing is run by Harri Kraievets.

What to write about?
We are interested in texts filled with ominous feelings — a sense of impending threat, of interrupted movement, of the impossibility of entering or leaving. Texts in which the subject maintains fidelity to the event, even when the world insists nothing has occurred.

We are drawn to voices from the periphery of public discourse — those whose desire to speak out collides with externally imposed symbolic restrictions. We are interested in the art of searching for random connections, the narcissism of lost causes, the history of the subject in constrained circumstances, communities of direct interaction.

These can be psychoanalytic texts, psychohistorical notes, free-form essays, poems, stories, plays, and literary translations.
